UBS DIGITAL ART MUSEUM, Hamburg

With the planned opening in 2026, visitors will be able to discover the exhibition teamLab Borderless Hamburg by the international art collective teamLab, which is unique in Europe, in countless rooms with ceilings up to 12 metres high and covering over 6,500 square metres.

The concept is based on the idea that everything exists in a borderless continuity and is reflected in teamLab Borderless Hamburg, which consists of immersive artworks that transcend boundaries.

"When I first visited the teamLab exhibition in Tokyo, I was overwhelmed. Since then, one thing has been clear to me: I want to make this a reality in Hamburg, Germany and Europe!" says Lars Hinrichs, entrepreneur, investor and founder of the UBS DIGITAL ART MUSEUM.

The UBS DIGITAL ART MUSEUM creates an oversized space for digitally designed art that is meant to touch visitors and be touched by them. The museum, with its multidimensional and multisensory immersive art experiences that function without the usual distance between art and viewer, is dedicated to the public. Visitors literally immerse themselves in the artworks, can communicate with them, change them and thus become part of them. Touching and photographing is therefore highly encouraged, as this makes every visit a unique experience.
